Contract Amount: $20.5 Million                     Owner: Central Weber Sewer District                    Completed in 2010

The wastewater treatment plant expansion projects consisted of mass excavation of approximately 250,000 cy of existing soils for the new sewer plant structures, installation of 4,300 lf of 108” RCP sewer outfall piping and associated concrete structures, 2000 lf of 54” and 60” welded steel process piping, and 4,600 lf of 18” to 36” RCP sewer at 20’ to 25’ deep. Design-build shoring system for new headworks building 45’ below existing grade. Design-build dewatering system for the entire project site consisting of approximately 150 dewatering wells and approximately 2,500 lf of soil-bentonite slurry wall. Construction of a new 15 MGD sewer pump station with a 30’ deep wetwell. This project site was one of the most challenging sites that we have ever worked on due to the artesian conditions making the excavation shoring and dewatering extremely difficult.
